Hey, my name’s Jem, I’m an undergraduate student at U of T majoring in conservation bio and biodiversity with minors in bio and classical civilizations. Throughout my degree I’ve really enjoyed opportunities to explore my love of biology through writing while specifically focusing on the less-charismatic species around the world. Topics I’m passionate about include urban ecology, native Ontario tree species, herpetology, and anything to do with the American eel. In my spare time I like to play softball, go birding, and read in the sun while drinking copious amounts of cold brew.
