Alexandra Nitoiu

Social Media Manager and Writer

Hi, nice to meet you! I’m Alexandra, and I’m a fourth year undergraduate student at U of T, studying Physiology and Fundamental Genetics and its Applications. I’m most interested in learning about the causes and mechanisms of human disease. However, if you look at my articles, you’ll notice that my passion for science extends to a wide range of subjects, such as space, the human microbiome, and climate change!

As the SCC’s social media manager, I’m the last person who proofreads articles before they are published across our various social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. I also reformat articles and edit accessibility descriptions to improve readability. As a writer, I research and write two articles per semester on topics in STEM. I have been writing for the SCC since my second semester at U of T, so this club holds a special place in my heart.

I like to keep myself busy with my hobbies, which include reviewing books, photography, and posting about fashion for my magazine.
