Nice to meet you! I’m Cheryl, a recent UofT graduate in neuroscience & psychology and current PhD student in psychological and brain sciences at IU Bloomington. My research examines questions at the intersection of intergroup relations, prejudice, and education: As academics, what can we do to create classrooms and cultures that foster excitement in all kinds of students? How do our social identities affect our willingness to engage in these forms of collective action?
This is my third year with the SCC, and I’m excited to return to such a passionate interdisciplinary team. Whether you’re a doctoral candidate or a newcomer to science, I hope you’ll find our work both beautiful and informative. Outside of academia, you can find me listening to music, daydreaming about stories I’d like to write, and spoiling my cat (often all at once).
